The development of voids is a serious hazard, making their early detection an important aspect of infrastructure maintenance and remediation. Early identification of concealed subsurface voids is critical to prevent major failures from occurring. Void-related problems often develop near water supply pipes or drain pipes.
Sinkholes can cause major damage and often occur without warning. Using GPR-Slice to post process and interpret the GPR data, we are able to identify voids located below reinforced concrete layers caused by material subsiding into sinkholes.
We have the experience to define and characterize specific embedded objects such as
post tension cables, fiber optic lines, PVC conduits, metal conduits, rebar, delaminations,
voiding, and deterioration. What we can see before drilling, cutting or coring.
